What should I pack for an outer space trip?

I want to go on a cruise onto Jupiter at which point I will be hopping from one moon to moon and on the way visit objects in asteroid belt.

What should I pack for? Do I need light?

You'll need lots and lots of sandwiches and gallons of YooHoo. And clean underwear.

Note that the asteroid belt is closer to the sun, between Mars and Jupiter. You pass through it en route to Jupiter. Of course, you may choose to only stop there on your return home, time and fuel permitting.

A flashlight would be useful at night (it is always day time in space)

The main thing you need to pack is food, water and air good for several years.

for a five year trip, you would need

2000 Mars bars (1 per day)

10,000 liters of water (5 L per day) -- that is 10 tons

Tons of air bottles -- you do NOT want to run short of air.
