Why is yahooAnswers Chemistry section slowly dying?

    I don't know. Perhaps not enough chemists come here with answers. I'm a biologist and some of the ridiculous answers given on that forum are shocking. Of course Y!A has never been a reliable source of information.

    I would speculate that Yahoo wants to get rid of or minimize some of its deqpartments.

    Yahoo has moved answers off their main menu so that you have to go hunt for it.

    They have done the same with Yahoo Weather.

    I guess they just don't like us anymore.

    When you get a good response,

    please consider giving a best answer.

    This is the only reward we get.

    Possibly because people are slowly realising YA isn't saturated with chemists and that in fact literature, research papers and textbooks are better.

    That said, I've seen some very clever people dish out some chemistry on here.
