Anyway, what's the difference between the clay and the lawn for a tennis player?

Clay is harder, ball speed higher, better spins

Natural grass is a fast surface, the ball tends to stay low and it makes the game harder and more skilful in my opinion. Clay is slow and the bounce of the ball is more predicable and less random.
Shame that there is only one grand slam tourney on grass, it is the peak of pro tennis.

If you play tennis on the lawn, the ball won't be able to bounce as well as it would on a clay court.

Clay is a slow surface. Grass is fast and the ball doesn't bounce very high.

Apart from as already said, you can slide into a ball better on clay than on most lawn Courts, once they have dried out.
