    There is no need to work out the product of 2468 and 8642

    You just need the product of the units' digits.

    The untis' digit of 2468 is 8

    The units' digit of 8642 is 2

    The product of 8 and 2 is 16

    The units' digit of 16 is 6

    So just multiply the last digit of each number and look at the units digit of the product.
