If Trump could change the electoral system, how and what would he change?

Update:

@electricpole, I know that, but back to the hypothetical question; If and a very big IF.... What would he change in the electoral system IF he had a chance?

Knowing Trump, he would appoint his kids in charge of counting the ballots.

If he had that power he'd likely not change a thing because the system as it exists worked well for him in 2016.

Have every Democratic state use the Maine and Nebraska system where each Congressional District chooses one elector and the state chooses two electors while the Republican states would continue to use winner-take-all. Given that Congressional District lines favor Republicans -- in a 50-50 national race the median district would be 53% Republican -- and that even the most Democratic large states have two or three Republican majority seats, such a change would all but guarantee a Republican election. (Republicans tried to do this before the 2012 and 2016 elections, but were unable to get this done.)

He can't, and that ends that.

I have no reason to believe that he wants to.
