Is California lottery draw rigged?

Security in daily lottery seems cracked and result dawn seems manual to favor the numbers not played by public. someone has access to view the played number and ability to draw the numbers. Also the pay out is very high and many times very low. Any idea what is going on? Lottery business will slowly die if money does go to public

Not really. Go on a random number generator and see if you can match 6 numbers you wrote down on the first try.

    Mega millions:

5 from 70 And then the sixth number from 1 to 25

Odds are: 1 in more than 12 million to get the first five, then multiply by 25 = 1 in 302,575,350.

for any prize about 1 in 24

    5 from 1 to 69, plus powerball (1 in 26)

Odds are 1 in 292,201,338 (slightly better than megamillions),

for any prize 1 in 24.87 (slightly worse than megamillions)

    5 from 47. plus mega (1 in 27)

    1 in 41,416,353

overall: 1 in 23 (but prizes are a lot less than the other two

Go to the "how to play" for the various options, and the odds are laid out for you.

They don't need to rig the draw -- the odds against winning a decent-sized prize are already against the punters.

The thing is, lotteries are essentially a tax on the stupid -- it's entertainment, not an investment.
