What will happen to England when the Queen dies?

Please take no notice of the pedants who say the last queen of England died ages ago, we all know who you mean, you mean the current monarch of the UK and other places, QEII and if I list all her titles it will take up half the page. (best type QE2 or something so the azzholes can't post a non-answer)

To answer the question it's all planned already, operation London bridge is in the pipeline, that is the name of the plan that includes her funeral and there is even money ready with Prince Charles printed on it.

There will be a fuss, a big public funeral but then things will carry on. I suppose the only issue is that it will be weird since a lot of people can't remember before Elizabeth II, even my parents were born slightly after she took over.

England is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. The moment the Queen dies, her eldest son and heir, Charles, becomes King. There will be a Lying-in-State, a Ceremonial State Funeral, a time of mourning. About a year later, there will be a Coronation service, a blessing and anointing service of Charles.

Life will go on in the UK, the change in monarchs being seamless.

We do not know what the regnal name of Charles will be. He may choose to be Charles III or George VII.

Elizabeth is regnant of the UK, Northern Ireland, and fifteen other Commonwealth Realms; Charles assumes all of these roles.

There will be a state funeral, possibly quickly followed by another for the Duke of Edinburgh. On the Queen's death, Prince Charles will be declared King and that weird phrase "The Queen is dead, long live the Queen', will be uttered. Then will come, after a suitable period of mourning, the coronation of Charles. After a few years, (after all he too is now 70), this process will all be repeated and Prince William will ascend the throne.
