Should I Opt For a Laser or Inkjet Printer For Photos?

Inkjet will give you better prints. The more expensive printer the better. For general use a color laser will give you a decent print but not best photo quality. Inkjets use expensive ink and unless you use them all the time they clog or dry out. They also are always in a cleaning cycle that eats up your ink. Color laser toner is also expensive but it doesn't clog or dry out. I get hundreds of color prints out of a color laser.

depends on how much printing you do and how much you are willing to spend

Use pigment ink and glossy photo paper for best results. Install CISS.

For home use, an Inkjet.

I just bought a Canon TS8220 printer. It prints great photos. The main question is how many and how often are you going to print. Those color ink cartridges empty pretty quick. As for the quality of print its great the question is amount of pictures you want to print.
