It has long been rumoured that the Queenโ€™s husband, Prince Philip, had an affair with Ogilvyโ€™s wife, Princess Alexandra.

Princess Alexandra is the Queenโ€™s first cousin.

  • Maybe she has just cut up an onion. Because that's the only way the Queen would show anything resembling emotion.

She was not, she has never done such a thing in public.

She didn't. And his proper title was Sir Angus Ogilvy, KCVO; he was the second son of an earl and was the Honorable Angus James Bruce Ogilvy. Second sons of an earl do not have titles of their own,nor the honorific of Lord. Ogilvy was bestowed Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, 31 December 1988.

The ONLY time I've actually seen the Queen visibly upset was when the Royal Yacht was decommissioned. She was probably welling up at her mother and sister's funerals but on those occasions, she had a thick veil.

The Queen just doesn't DO 'sobbing uncontrollably' or any other extreme emotion very often - she can get excited when her horse is winning however!!

She had just been introduced to LILI.

She wasn't, dear. Do try to come up with more plausible claims. Otherwise, your trolling will inevitably fail.

Everyone reportedly liked Sir Angus, who wasn't a lord. He was born the younger son of an earl, so he was an "Hon". He refused an earldom of his own on marriage to Princess Alexandra but was later knighted.

I don't recall she was, but then Sir Angus's funeral was 14 years ago.

Who cares - even if it was true?
