An 'upward shift?'
Most of the rest of the world still lives under the old order of aristocratic anti-Christian viewpoints involving government 'wards,' 'protected classes' and 'entitlements' and believe in a vision of world peace through the extreme concentration of power into the hands of the 'few best' and the complete disarmament of all general populations throughout the world so as to remove any serious threat of rebellion.
This vision comes from China, along with the godless 'science' its communist aristocrats believe is able to ultimately eradicate all religion in favor of a 'scientific' age of enlightenment. They tend to view those in full compliance with this vision to be 'elevated' and those opposing it to be 'beneath' it.
So when a communist demagogue representing that former order and vision becomes President of the United States, (a nation dedicated at its foundation to Christian 'first shall be last and last first' opposition to aristocratic models), the rest of the world gets very excited and says that our reputation has experienced an 'upward shift.'
When someone replaces that President who is literally the embodiment of 'new wealth' in the hands of those formerly considered 'unworthy' by birth, (and who is being mercilessly mocked and maligned for daring to be 'uppity'), they believe that our reputation has suffered a great loss. Donald Trump represents wealth in the hands of those who used to be 'last.' He does not descend from royalty and rejects their anti-Christian social models.
As a Christian who believes that the era of aristocracy is over, I believe exactly the opposite of Obama and his counterparts throughout the world and that the great exceptionalism of the United States will lead the way forward into the new social order proclaimed and illustrated originally by Jesus Christ. The kings of the past, (including the current Chinese oligarchy), are finished along with their godless dreams and worthless waste of human life and treasure.
