copying a windows OS (just the windows folder) is not a good idea. You install an OS, you dont just copy it if it wont include the software installed with it. This is because the registry you are transfering is filled with the software's data. If you dont include the software then your transfered OS's registry will not work right thus either slowing you down or give you errors due to invalid and unnecessary entries.
My suggestion if you really want to just COPY folders, you should uninstall everything as in all the software first, then copy all the folders to your SSD.
You should also take ownership of all these other folders that are mostly hidden, namely: documents and settings, programdata, users, except the windows folder, otherwise your personal files (inside the music,video,documents folders...etc) will not get copied, they will be discarded.
copying an OS from drive to drive is a pain in the butt just so you know, even when you know what youre doing, and it takes forever to finish.
If you dont want to include the software then just do a clean install of your OS, its faster and it wont have unnecessary stuff
