Elohim, the word translated as God, is a plural word in Hebrew. This same Elohim is found through most of the Old Testament, but in particular it is used exclusively for God in Genesis. It is the first indication we have that God is a plurality. Later we find the God is Jehovah (YHWH), then we are introduced to the Spirit of the LORD God, and also to the Spirit of the Lord. See Psalm 51:11 and Proverbs 30:4. God is speaking to Himself (all three parts of himself).
Mind, body, and spirit, we are made in His image.
