We will be better off. Education at the local level is more important.

The way the DOE is being run now by Devos, we'd probably be better off because the management and direction of education would be relegated to the State level rather than Federal. And the States would be more inclined to look after their own educational efficacy.

YAY!! Then we can be even dumber and even more of us can become ignorant Trump lemmings. Education is a threat to our wonderful leader, dispose of it! If we teach people to think, they may see Trump for the authoritarian jerk that he really is. We can't have that! Glory to the uneducated, MAGA!

I think that some states need assistance to keep their education programs up to par. Why should a kid get a lesser education just because he happen to be born in a very poor state?

The federal governments meddling has done nothing to improve education .

notice how the label-obsessed don't bother to check what has happened to test scores and American competitiveness vs. the world....especially in urban areas.... since the department's creation?

notice how they are the same ones who like to call others "stupid?"

Then the Conservatives will have succeeded in making the USA a third world country where the uneducated masses will be Wage Slaves working for pennies.
