It's used as a derogatory word by idiots who THINK it's a derogatory word.
it'a all a matter of perception. Many gay people have no trouble referring to themselves as gay, since that's precisely what they are and they are not ashamed of it.
it's people like Mike here.....who still live in some uneducated world, where they still don't realize that being GAY is not some Abnormal choice..........but simply, a matter of fact, as to how they were born.
They had no control over it, no more than straight people can choose the color of their eyes or hair when they are born.
You are born what you are............and that's it.
Look at Shiloh Pitt. I've been reading stories of her "wanting to be a boy", since the day she was a toddler. The kid KNEW.
They kept laughing it off and calling her a tomboy, and blaming it on having so many brothers to rough house with...........but none of that was it............the kid KNEW she was born in the wrong body. She's known since she was 4 or 5. and now, she's undergoing full gender resassignment therapy.....and goes by the name John.
She didn't make that "CHOICE"..........she's just trying to be who she IS........the way she was BORN. Female on the outside, completely male on the inside. It happens. and vice versa to many guys, as well.
