My opinions are that he's an ambitious lout that is too susceptible to far right propaganda, is way out of his depth, doesn't understand the legal process of government and refuses to learn, and will probably go down in history as a traitor regardless of the severity of his crimes. He is likely just a pawn in the trump-russia scandal and was just too dumb to even see the chessboard before it was too late.
He has been unable to sell his policies, they have received bi-partisan criticism:
Take out ISIS within first month
End FBI investigation.
None of this is happening, mostly because he has no political experience and does not know how to work with congress.
Then there is the whole Russia investigation. Just this weekend,
Mueller has Trump on Obstruction over Mike Flynn
Mueller has Trump for lying about whether he knew of Flynn's December actions.
Mueller has Pence for lying about whether he knew of Flynn's December actions.
Mueller has everything Flynn knows.
Just this week, Trump has tweeted alt-right fake news that falsely claims a Dutch nationalist to be an islamic terrorist and subsequently attacked mainstream news media, calling THAT fake news.
He's also contradicted himself on several accounts recently, he's really starting to crack.
I do get the appeal and why people voted for him. They want an anti-establishment figure that talks their language. That's just not what he is. He's a salesman. He is probably no more corrupt than most politicians it's just his network is weak and doing a poor job of hiding it. His team offered to end the Magnitsky Act and lifting of sanctions for Russia in exchange for cyber crimes to support his election.
I don't think the Russia investigation will end anytime soon. I think it will likely go beyond Team Trump but I have absolutely no doubt Trump will not be able to escape this one.
