The Singapore Zoo is definitely much better. The Zoo is more accessible and provides more fun and joy for your children. Furthermore, the Zoo has a better temperature control, making you family have fun and not sweat too much! :)

Singapore Zoo. The Night Safari is right next to it. So is River Safari. You can visit Singapore Zoo in the morning and River Safari in the mid-afternoon after lunch in the nearby restaurants outside the Zoo. Then you can spend the night in Night Safari.
