How would I write this as an equation?

To keep this question easy, I am using simple numbers to figure out how to write this equation.

QUESTION: If you give me a $110 and I have to give Bob 10% of the $110. How much do I give Bob?

(In reality I know I keep $100 and give Bob $10 but how would I write this out as an equation???)

Update:

No your missing my question. Not 10% on top of $110. 10% OUT OF $110. The answer is $10 because I am looking or 10% of a $100 which equals $110. Basically working backward to arrive at $10. Please dont give me $11 because that is 10% of 110.
