# How would I write this as an equation?

To keep this question easy, I am using simple numbers to figure out how to write this equation.

QUESTION: If you give me a \$110 and I have to give Bob 10% of the \$110. How much do I give Bob?

(In reality I know I keep \$100 and give Bob \$10 but how would I write this out as an equation???)

Update:

No your missing my question. Not 10% on top of \$110. 10% OUT OF \$110. The answer is \$10 because I am looking or 10% of a \$100 which equals \$110. Basically working backward to arrive at \$10. Please dont give me \$11 because that is 10% of 110.
