If the base sequence read GGG CTT CTT AAA instead, would this result in sickle cell hemoglobin? Explain.?

The original sickle cell was:

GGG CAT CTT TTT

    Neither of those sequences contain the codon involved in sickle cell anaemia.

    In normal HbA a GAG on the coding strand (or CTC on the template) is replaced by GTG (CAC) and so glutamic acid is replaced by valine.

    I can't find either of those codons, so it is not true.
