    xy - 5 = k

    first add 5 to both sides and it will look like this

    xy = k+ 5

    now divide x

    y= k+5

    / x the / means divided by and it should be under both the k and the 5

    xy - 5 = k for y?

    divide x to both sides, then you get y-5 = k /x

    then add 5 to both sides, and you get

    y = k/x + 5
