I've a what you would call an "interracial" marriage and couldn't be happier.
I think the problem is most people with "issues" on such matters either have a personal prejudice against a particular race, or baseless opinion on what the connotations are for culture and race.
The old arguments used by right wingers, like we saw with the Norwegian mass killer Anders Breivik, are proven to be untrue. Cultures, races and societies are not under threat because of multiculturalism - but enriched by it. If you look at the technological and other progresses made by humanity as a whole since the second world war, the names of the people are not from one race, culture or country.
The world is a global place because we're working closer together to make it one. By being fundamentalists, nationalists, fascists, and racists we create divides which can be exploited to cause harm to us and others.
There will always be bad people and hypocrites in every race and culture. But as long as the majority of people work along common terms, then these people will always be sidelined.
