Yes Puncheon was a late signing. The paperwork was submitted according to SSN QPR are waiting for confirmation from the Premier league as to whether it was in time. Premier league website includes Puncheon as a signing for QPR along with Ferdinand and SWP

UPDATE: Ealing gazette is now reporting that the deal did NOT go through in time (missed the deadline by two minutes) Neither club website confirms this.

"QPR missed out on a loan-deal for Jason Puncheon because transfer forms for his Loftus Road move arrived two minutes late last night (Wednesday)."

UPDATE 2 : Never believe what you read in the papers unless it's truly confirmed....Sky sports and QPR website now reporting that the deal has been approved by Premier league, Puncheon on loan to QPR until January.

"Jason Puncheon's move to Queens Park Rangers has been given the go-ahead by the Premier League, skysports.com understands.

The Southampton winger was locked in talks on deadline day and only completed his deal as the window slammed shut.

The two clubs, and the player, have been awaiting official confirmation - but now skysports.com understands that Puncheon will be moving to Loftus Road.

His agent Tony Finnigan confirmed that the move would be going ahead.

"The transfer is happening, the club have confirmed to us that the deal has been given Premier League approval," he said.
