how do i know if a bolt has coarse or fine threading?

i have a metric bolt that is called M6 1.0 x 50mm, now i would like to know if this is coarse or fine threading, and also are there are similar bolts to this particular. does anyone know?

    A metric bolt labeled M6 1.0 x 50mm is a coarse thread bolt.

    It's a 6mm bolt, with a 1.00 pitch, and 50mm long. You can find them at any hardware store in the loose bins.

    use your fingernail. if it fits snugly onto the groove its coarse, if it sits on the ridges its fine.
