What is the difference between fine and coarse thread?

    Exactly that. Fine thread bolts have more threads per inch/mm course thread have larger space between threads.

    The fine thread are metric sizes while the coarse is a standard size.

    Number of threads per inch or something like that. I measures the distance between threads.
