Cheese, what does it mean ?

I bought some mature cheddar and there is a warning "Once opened, best consume within 3 days" and this is in the new reclosable stay fresh pack

clearly the small print on the reclosable stay fresh pack - is (stays fresh for 3 days).

I think cheese should be ok up til its use by date as long as it's kept covered and refrigerated.

Darn these evil cheese corporations! It means they want you to wonder about perfectly good cheese and go buy more cheese (every 4 days)

A lot of things say to consume within a certain period of time, but usually you couldn't eat a whole block of cheese in 3 days. Just keep it covered and in the fridge and it will be ok. Cheese lasts for a while anyway (longer than the 3 days they say!)

ignore it. unless mould becomes visible or it smells worse than it should. just eat it. no point wasting good food when there are starving ppl in the world. the company is just being precausious cos they dont want to get sued. cheese can last over a week.
