How do I put songs on an ipod?

It's an ipod 8gb. I bought it off ebay, and it didn't come with instructions. I'm an idiot when it comes to stuff like this, I don't know how to erase the old songs and put new songs on. Please help. Also, how do I change the person's name that's on it? Thanks :)

When you plug it in to itunes (which you will need to download if you haven't already), it will ask you if you want to sync to your library or keep the songs already on it. Select yes.

To change the name of it, in itunes, slow double click on the existing name and type yours in. It is very similar to renaming a file in windows.

You put songs on with iTunes.

Apple offers all the directions for their products for free at their website. The directions for your iPod can be found here: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/

    Download iTunes.

Use iTunes to reset the iPod. There should be a "Reset" button.

    Put it with your name.

Add your music onto iTunes and then click "Sync".

    And you're done. =]
