Why does my PSC 1210 printer print grey instead of black?

I have an all-in-one HP Psc 1210. It prints grey instead of black for some reason. Actually the black cartridge is not even printing. The color is working for the black. They are both full with ink.

on your document it might have turned gray for some reason. this has happened to me before.

the more reasonable reason is that you have your printer set on fastdraft. you can fix this by going start>printers&faxes>right click on your printer>properties>printing preferences>change from fastdraft to normal or best

    hope that helped!!

Open word and do like you would print and when the menu for the printer pops up look for a option that say print grayscale and if it has a check mark in it just uncheck it and reboot the try to print again and this should solve the problem.
