We have 8 cats.
I'm going to give you an analogy. My 84 year old mother in law, who lives with us, talks non-stop. She always has. I heard someone refer to her as Chatty Cathy. She talks so much that it is like having a wind up toy, where someone put a key in her back, wound it up, and then she just keeps chattering until she winds down.
Fact is, some people are just "talkers", and they go on talking, even when there's nothing to talk about. It's irritating as all get out, but that's just the way it is.
Well, the same thing goes for cats - especially if they have any Siamese in them. Out of our 8 cats, two are talkers. They talk non-stop - especially in the kitchen. You talk to them they will answer - and then carry on an entire conversation. And then they will go on talking long after they've worn out everyone else's conversation. You may think it's complaining or something else, but the fact is, they just love to talk about everything and that is their conversation. They are "Chatty Cathys"!
So - you have to deal with a "Chatty Cathy"! Congrats! At least, now you have a humourous name you can tell people about when they ask what is wrong with your cat! It's her nature. Best bet is to get earplugs.lol
Not much you can do about it, but if it makes you feel better, I'll tell you you should be blessed it's only one talking cat. We have to deal with two of these plus the live in can't-stop-talking mother in law!
