A very easy form of storage is the USB Flash Memory Stick, also known as a Pen Drive. You just plug it into a USB connector on the front or back of your computer. It appears as another disk drive, so you can run Windows Explorer, find a bunch of files on your hard drive and just drag and drop them to the Memory Stick. You can see whats on the Memory Stick and double-click any file to view it.
This is a lot quicker and more convenient than burning CDs or DVDs.
They are available in various sizes at low prices. 1GB is £20/$35 or less. There are loads on eBay, but some of the offers look too good to be true, especially those delivered from hong kong, so watch out. See links for articles warning about fake, unreliable Memory Sticks on eBay. Check the seller's feedback is near 100% good or buy from another website. Test the drive as soon as you get it by filling it up with files and checking it stores the full capacity and the files aren't corrupted. Pay with Paypal, so you can always get a refund. If you do all this, you can still take advantage of some of the great bargains on eBay.
