• Would you rather live in the coldest or warmest place on earth?

Best answer: I already live in northern BC, Canada. The Yukon, just to the north of us, has an officially recorded low of -62.8°C. Coldest I've recorded on my property is -43°C (not including wind chill). And do you know what? I don't even heat my bedroom and I sleep with the window open. No big deal, I just use a... show more

Coldest I've recorded on my property is -43°C (not including wind chill). And do you know what? I don't even heat my bedroom and I sleep with the window open. No big deal, I just use a lot of bedclothes and blankets. I'd melt in a hot place. I don't even like it when it is over 25°C. So, obviously I'd rather live in a cold place (I find that it's easier to warm up than cool off).

Best answer: Because thye are OPPOSITES!

Buy a DICTIONARY and then ask your parents, and teachers why they have failled you so badly!

ATHEIST - someone who does not believe in a God – any God – not just the Christian one. But that does not mean they do not hold strong moral or religious beliefs! They can follow any religion that does not have a god and there are a lot of those!

AGNOSTIC – Does not believe anything can be know about or proved about a god. Thus they can still believe a god exists. This description obviously fits a lot of Christians!

GNOSTIC: Gnosis is the term the Greeks originally used to refer to “ultimate knowledge.” One can acquire this ultimate knowledge through divine inner experience. The experience refers to having close relations with God and filling one’s self with a complete spiritual realm.

There is a huge difference between people who refute god religions, reject gods, wonder about gods and atheists who KNOW there are no such things!

Best answer: Answer: The origins of Easter are rooted in European traditions. The name Easter comes from a pagan figure called Eastre (or Eostre) who was celebrated as the goddess of spring by the Saxons of Northern Europe. A festival called Eastre was held during the spring equinox by these people to honor her.

Why are these traditions so ingrained in Easter Sunday? And what do they have to do with the resurrection of Jesus?
    Well, to be frank, nothing.
Bunnies, eggs, Easter gifts and fluffy, yellow chicks in gardening hats all stem from pagan roots. These tropes were incorporated into the celebration of Easter separately from the Christian tradition of honoring the day Jesus Christ rose from the dead.
According to the University of Florida's Center for Children's Literature and Culture, the origin of the celebration — and the origin of the Easter Bunny — can be traced back to 13th-century, pre-Christian Germany, when people worshiped several gods and goddesses. The Teutonic deity Eostra was the goddess of spring and fertility, and feasts were held in her honor on the Vernal Equinox. Her symbol was the rabbit because of the animal’s high reproduction rate.
