Work by two economists at the Boston Federal Reserve, Christopher Foote and Christopher Goetz, found that, when the test was run correctly, it indicated that abortion actually increases violent crime. John Whitley and a colleague had written an earlier study that found a similar connection between abortion and murder — namely, that legalizing abortion raised the murder rate, on average, by about 7 percent.

In America there has been over 50 shootings specifically in schools in the past 3 years.... god knows what the number is overall for general shootings. Is it not just common sense to make firearms illegal. They literally bring no good whatsoever. I guess ‘protection’ is the main reason why people want to own a gun, even though there’s multiple other ways of protecting yourself. Such as tasers, pepper spray, anything hard, getting off your *** and learning self defence, being generally fit enough to fight...

  • How would gun control help the school shooting in Florida a few days ago?

There is irrefutable proof that the FBI failed to deem the kid as a threat to himself or others despite him posting that he wanted to shoot up a school on his social media, and telling someone else. To me, that seems like a failure of the FBI, not failure of laws, and if the FBI is failing to do their job, then how are laws supposed to be executed properly? I am not trying to make a political point, I am in favor of gun control, but it is idiotic to believe that additional gun control laws would have helped when the laws existed to prevent the shooting, yet the FBI failed to do their job properly.

She thinks I will because I'm angry that she cheated on me, but I wouldn't since it's nasty and illegal. I want to keep them because I still use them like I did when she wasn't around.

Best answer: A person of either sex could not successfully sue another over the sort of conduct you describe, unless they were married in which case suing for divorce may be possible.
The reason is that most legal systems take the view that the only legal contract involving sex is marriage. Accepting that sex had a role in any other kind of contractual relationship would come very close to legalised prostitution.
Hence the law regards all gifts given in the course of a romantic relationship, or a relationship which one party hopes will become romantic, as being pure gifts with no strings attached and no reciprocal obligation created.
In the case you describe, where one person is said to have pretended to want a long-term relationship but really never intended any more than a short-term sexual liaison, quite apart from the problem of proof that they had lied rather than just changed their mind, the main objection would be that granting such a claim would involve creating legal recognition of a rather marriage-like mutual obligation which was not actually marriage. The law takes the view that people either are or are not married, and is unwilling to have vague half-way states arising.

We are in a serious relationship and he is 27. We went to Wal-Mart to do the usual grocery shopping that we do weekly. This was a different location that we usually don’t ever go to. I was looking around with his son in the cart, and he was showing me some items that he found he liked. We spent well over $150 worth of items that day. We got home and I emptied out the jacket pockets to hang up the jackets in the coat closet...I noticed he had a bottle of essential oil in his pocket. It wasn’t the same one he showed me, so I was a little confused as to where it came from. I confronted him about it and asked him where it came from. He told me he stole it. He said it wasn’t worth the $5 and it was a petty theft. I told him how upset I was that he did it not only with me and his son around, but in general overall did it. It’s not the value amount of what he stole. It’s about the fact he stole. I do not think it’s worth risking and possibly getting caught over $5. He told me it will never happen again and that he had my word. He is a very honest person and I’m glad he didn’t lie about it, but still. Has anyone ever went through something like this before?? How did you handle it??

-For security reasons and my anxieties sake I will refer to myself as Luna. -I am a 17 year old female. -I live with my parents and 15 year old brother. -I live in Florida. I've been doing some research and it isn't illegal to run away in Florida at age 17. And it also isn't illegal to go to another state (Georgia). Its a state law that if i run away to Georgia, the state of both Florida and Georgia will provide the welfare and protection of juveniles. But is it illegal if i live with an adult who aren't my parents after running away? I read that after 24 hours of living with somebody it is considered "harboring" or a "misdemeanor". But me running away is my decision, so that makes it voluntary. I am still in high school, so can I take my social security and birth certificate and enroll myself in a public Georgia school after running away and finding a place to stay? I read that if i live with somebody who is endangering me then i will have to come home, is that true? After running away, can I find a job? Is it considered kidnapping if I try to see my boyfriend or if him and or his family takes me in after running away? He is 17. Will any of my friends get in trouble with the law if i visit them whilst running away?
