  • Is it time to put down my dog?

My 15 year old Pomeranian has been looking week and tired than usual. He's recently had trouble walking on his own, meaning I have to pick him up and place him somewhere comfortable. He's also been crying just of this morning. Not whining, crying. Is it time to put down my dog?

  • Can a dog walk on a fractured wrist?

Best answer: If your dog is running and jumping at times, then the the dog in all probability has no broken bones anywhere. If any bones are broken the dog will hang the affected leg up and will not want to put it on the ground. If the lameness appears after exercise, then it may just be a sprained ligament. If the lameness appears after exercise, then it may just be a sprained ligament. You don`t say if the dog is lame on front or back leg though.
I assume by "wrist" you mean the front leg.
Dogs are very stoic though and also with mind over matter may not show lameness on walks, but will show it when at ease at home.
As the dog has been like this for a week, you definitely need to have her looked at by a vet if you have no idea what is wrong.
I would not over exert her with any play or walks or running and jumping until you have seen the vet. Just let her potter around at her own pace.

  • Dog keeps dragging his back leg?

I feel like those people don't know much about dog houses (imo) and possibly might assume it's a form of a crate. And the way you phrased it was like your dog chose to go in his dog-house by himself.

Anyways, I know he's not in pain which is good, but Check his nails. Not always, but sometimes the length of dog's nails can cause issues for them especially if and when they get too long. So if they seem pretty long, get them trimmed as soon as you can esp. if they're starting to curl because that's actually really bad.

If the nails are long and do get trimmed where if that's not issue...I would suggest try adding a little bit of tumeric to his food (I know tumeric is supposed to help aid in some functions for a dog) and just add it for about 2, maybe 3 days. And then if that doesn't work, either, then I would Highly Suggest you to take him to a Vet ASAP and if possible, try to talk to them about your financial situation. Of course not all vets are, but some are understanding when someone else may have some financial struggles at the moment.

Your dog would not want your family to be sad - indeed, the best tribute to the love of a pet is to bring in another to love. My only advice is to get a dog of a different color from the old one, and to understand that the dog will never, ever be a replacement. Why deprive the rest of the family from loving a new dog? You can choose to ignore he new dog, and not be involved, but maybe in time you'll change your mind about the new one.

She has some sort of crystals in her bladder that causes her discomfort and causes her to use the bathroom ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. Her vet said it s not curable but can be treated to make her more comfortable. We have spent thousands on my kitty for medication, tests, ultrasounds, etc. and my dad has decided he can t continue to afford paying hundreds evert month for her that don t work. Nothing has worked so far... We both love her dearly, but my dad wants to put her down. This uncomfortable disease will be with her forever, and honestly I can t deal with the carpet and house smelling like cat pee anymore. We have tried everything. New litter, new food, new boxes, new box places. Its horrible. :( I don t know what to do. I don t want her to die. But I don t want her uncomfortable either guys. Please help!

My dad found an injured bird and brought inside the house and my puppy approached it, sniffed it, and then he got one of its wings and started shaking it. My pup is a two month old pit bull. Will he exhibit violent behavior to other animals in the future because of this?

  • Why does my dog not make any noise?

Best answer: Bulldos snort and generally make weird noises, so don't worry about that...

Now, Bulldogs generally don't make a lot of unnessesery noise...
It depends on the dog... You can get it checked though

I got a new kitten about 4 weeks ago who is now 11 weeks old. She seems fine, settled in well, eating and drinking. Just doesn't like people touching her and has only just a bout 3 days ago let me even touch her. She also hates loud noises. I also have another kitten but he is 9 months old and she will let him clean her and play with him. well unless he is being too rough. Im just wondering why she is nervous and runs away. and when people put there hands near her she goes into a state. Either runs away or starts breathing quite heavy. Im thinking maybe she was dropped by the people who had looked after her untill i got her or, wheather it's to do with People viewing her at 2 weeks old and handling her too much and if she thinks she will get taken away again. I may be overthinking this but i just wondered if there was a reason she is like this. Also when i got her part of her fur was missing on her ear as if it was shaved off but i was never told anything. People seem nice but you never know. I may be just going on and worrying a bit much but i just wondered what other people think. so can anyone give me some advice? Why would you reckon she would be so nervous all the time? I know she has not been with me long but like i said before she seems to have settled in well.

Hi, so we adopted a rescue dog last week and she had been wonderful, very placid and calm. Today we took her out for a walk on her lead, two chihuahuas were also out and my dog saw them and immediately started growling and pulling to get to them. She was on her lead so I thought I could just pull her away. I was so wrong. Her lead snapped and she went sprinting towards the dogs, she very viciously attacked one dog, she had her in her mouth scragging her from side to side. I was doing everything I could to stop her, I had my hands in her mouth trying to open her jaw. Eventually she let go but the other dog is very injured. She's in surgery now for a punctured abdomen. I'm absolutely devastated, my parents have taken the dog as I have a two year old in the house and I can't take that risk. We exchanged details with the other owners dog and he's going to let us know how the dog gets on in surgery. I've been crying ever since it happened, I'm heartbroken. I need advice.
