  • Should I repaint my bed or buy a new one?

Best answer: It's your money, spend it how you want to. At this age, your bed will most likely move with you when you leave your parents' home as an adult. So, choose wisely when purchasing a new bed.

  • What's the best and most proper way to clean a computer mousepad? Can you wash it in a washing machine, or is it hand-wash only?

    Best answer: Been there... (coffee)

Hand wash it in a basin with a little dish soap. If it's really grungy, use an old toothbrush to scrub.

Hang it up to dry; that may take overnight.

I have recently hired a painter who gave me a fixed qoute and painted my house. I provided the paint and some masking tape, filler and sanding paper. Although my painter also used some of their own filler, sand paper and masking tape too. At the end of the job he gave me bunch of receipts for a total of £70 including £50 of brushes and rollers and £20 of consumables such as adhesive, fillers, etc. The receipt shows that some of the brushes and roller are bought at the beginning of the job some in the middle and a few a day before the job was completed. He told me that he had to bin all the brushes and rollers as they were no good anymore after the painting was done. I understand that I should pay for the consumables such as paint or sanding paper. But my question is should I pay for the £50 brushes and rollers, especially without seeing the remains or getting to keep any? Is it normal for painters to charge for brush and rollers or should that be part of the fixed qoute?

Ordinarily, i'd assume if it's got 3 wires on it, it'll work in my house, but it "requiring neutral wire" is throwing me. Any suggestions?
