I also read another story online where an 11 year old girl had gotten her scalp ripped off from being on a carnival ride and I m like now how on earth do these kinds of accidents happen because I ve been on rides at the Fall Festival, Holiday World, and Kings Dominion and I never got injured. So how do accidents like this happen?

  • Hotels near Disneyland?

We are trying to take our daughter to Disneyland and we're looking for a hotel that's close to the park (not in the park) just close but they keep saying we must be 21 to check in. Anyone know of one that's close to the park that you can check into at 19?

  • When is the best time to visit Disneyland?

Best answer: My family usually goes in October or November. It's not that crowded, and not too hot. September would also be a good time to go.

  • Do the characters (aka actors dressed as characters) at Disneyland tend to ignore teens and adults and only interact with children?

Best answer: No they'll interact with you too. Just don't push little kids out of the way. You also have to understand they'll likely give priority to children, but they won't ignore you.

  • Do the characters (aka the actors in costumes) at Disneyland/Disneyworld give people hugs?

Best answer: probably, you just have to ask. besides it just being polite to ask for a hug, you don't want to hug a character out of the blue and accidentally damage their costume.

  • How much are pressed pennies from closed Disneyland rides worth?

Best answer: The biggest rule you have to remember just because it is limited doesn't mean it is worth anything. Honestly the only value they have is sentimental. They cost you $0.51 to get one ($0.01 to press and the $0.50 to do it). You would be very hard "pressed" (yes pun intended) to find someone to... show more

Honestly the only value they have is sentimental. They cost you $0.51 to get one ($0.01 to press and the $0.50 to do it). You would be very hard "pressed" (yes pun intended) to find someone to even give you the $0.51 to break even.

But that's not saying that if you get very lucky in timing you find that one person who has been missing that one penny from their collection and is willing to pay for it.

  • Can I wear a shirt with a cape to an amusement park?

I have a Harry Potter Hufflepuff shirt that s very light and comfortable. It has a cape on it, though, so I m not sure if I could wear it on rides at a nearby amusement park. If it is a hazard, that s no problem. I just want to know if it s likely to be a problem.

  • Why are food prices so expensive at amusement parks?

I understand that people need to make a living, etc. and nobody's really getting rich at an amusement park, but I also don't have to go to your crappy, mildly-entertaining money pit.

If you're going to charge stupid costs for food, at least make it good food. Don't serve microwaved chicken sandwiches that are as mouth watering as a sink sponge.
