I live in Mississippi and got fired for not driving on icey roads?
I’ve tried looking for the laws here but I can’t find them, we don’t live in a state that snows all the time or is used to wintery weather. When it snows it alerts a lot like it just did they advise everyone to stay home they have shutdown our interstates and a lot of main roads because it is too dangerous. I texted my boss a day before saying I wouldn’t be able to come in Monday since the roads are too slick and no one is out and she fired me. She said “I have my kids at work with me if you can’t be a grown person and come to work I won’t need you anymore” meanwhile we are three inches deep in ice. Any tips?

Can you call out due to bad weather?
Where I live the roads are going to be icy Monday and Tuesday. However I live in the south where we are not prepared for icy roads and I live pretty far away from work. After what happened in Fort Worth I don’t want to risk anything as I have to drive on a busy interstate my entire way to work. Can I refuse to go in? My job is pretty harsh when it comes to calling in but I don’t want to wreck on my way to work...

Are small cars safer than large ones - mean vehicle weight?
I was told that European cars are much lighter because they don't require as much as American cars, and that accidents are less deadly because despite less safety equipment, there is less weight acting in the forces of the collision, is this true?

How can you avoid a head on collision at 40mph?
I almost had a head on collision. The driver was illegally passing because he was trying to go around someone on a bicycle. When I saw him I immediately slammed on the breaks, there was a neighborhood near us but there were other cars blocking it so I couldn’t go into the neighborhood. My friends told me that stopping is as bad as hitting him. Is this true? When I stopped he just drove around me.

My girlfriend doesn’t want me to drive her anywhere anymore ?
I’m not a terrible driver but the other day I was going to fast and at the time I was on my phone trying to change the music channel so I wasn’t paying attention to the road. It was snowy and icy and I didn’t realize another car had merged in my lane in front of me, and the my girlfriend screamed at me so loudly to slow down So I panicked and slammed the brakes and I slid and I’m almost did a spin out. I understand she was scared but I asked her yesterday if she wanted to go somewhere and she said only if not driving but I don’t want to drive my car because I know I can drive it was a mistake and crazy she doesn’t trust me, I would never hurt her. Is she treating me unfairly?

Why Take Mobile Insurance?
Mobility demands Insurance, Have you ever thought this? Why do Cars and Bikes are sold with compulsory Insurance at the time of purchase almost everywhere in the world? It ain't because of the fact that the probability of accidents and hence damage is always more in a mobile object than a stable one. Similarly, the possibility of mobile objects getting lost or stolen is also very high as compared to a stable one. Not every house is insured, not every jewelry lying at home or bank locker is insured but all cars and bikes are definitely insured especially during the 1st year of their life.

Is it really dangerous to leave your engine running while pumping gas?
Favourite answer:People leave their car running a lot of times when pumping gas. Now how many fires/explosions do you know that happened because of this? So the ones who say it is so dangerous because the gas fumes may explode, well if fumes are that heavy guess what will happen when the spark producing car pulls in next to you. I have never in 50 + years ever heard of a problem leaving your car running.

What’s the best maneuver for avoiding dying from a deer crossing the road?
Favourite answer:Swerve - likely into a tree - NO trees don't give much.
Full braking - every time you cut your speed in half the energy released at impact is reduced by 4 times - the slower you hit the deer the less damage will be done.
Problem is, most people don't even see the deer they hit or have enough time to react.
