• Can I stuff a stuffed animal with just rice?

I making a manatee, probably about a foot long and I want to know what to stuff it with. It is for an adult so there s no safety issues but will it be a comfortable material? If so, will it be good for anxiety like a weighted blanket? Or should I just stick with stuffing? Thanks for the help

  • Join knitted squares?

Best answer: There are ways to knit a blanket where you do little squares at a time, but always connected to the rest of the blanket while working. When you have your separate squares, cast off, you can not really use knitting to tie them together. You have the option to sew or crochet. If you connect them with knitting... show more

If you connect them with knitting needles you will still use crochet methods, as you can not really knit it.

So I have a stick. it's not just any stick, it's a stick that's very special to me. I've had it since I was twelve, and I've always called it my "Wizard Staff". It's like an 8 foot tall stick that looks like Gandalf the Grey's staff and it's pretty sweet. I've found it once more since it was hiding in the garage for a few years, and I was wondering. What would be the best thing to help keep this thing preserved, sturdy, and save to hold? Meaning that it's smooth and sanded and whatnot. I literally found this stick off of a tree in the snow one year. I'm not sure if I want to stain it a color that's TOO stark, I honestly can't really see it as any other color than the sunbleached greyish color that it is. But I do want to have some method of making the wood more sturdy, since there are some pretty thin parts towards the top that i really really don't want to get damaged. What would be the best course of action for this?

  • Does anyone have a pattern for something like this?

Best answer: It looks like basic colorwork, or maybe a two-sided blanket. I don't have a similar pattern, but you could try asking on the forums at Ravelry. It's free if you're not already a member, and a great resource.

  • How to get glue from glass?

I recently went to an auction and got a framed poster. What I didn't see, however, was that the paper with the lot number was GLUED onto the glass of the frame. I got the paper off, but there's still an unsightly blob of tough glue. How can I remove it without damaging the glass?
