But I want to fight this with HR. Do I have a chance? It was an innocent mistake?

I’m a 23 year old woman, and everyone I meet always seems extremely surprised when they find out my age (e.g. people at work and college). They always say I look about 18, 19 or 20. I think I do look my age, but according to everyone else, I look younger. Though, they say my behaviour is very mature. I want to be taken seriously by people - should I be looking older? At 23, is it bad when people think you’re much younger?

  • Should I expect a girl that I'm dating to tell me big news in her life?

Best answer: You're a friend. Nothing more. Do you suppose she contacted every single friend and family member she has? My guess is that her way of informing her friends WAS Facebook. No, you are not "special"... furthermore, SHE is not "special" to you.... hence the "not exclusive". If you... show more

I don't think it was because she trying to hide herself, because she was very talkative, outgoing, and friendly. As we walked from the waiting area room to the garage, she still wore sunglasses, even it was dark in the garage. She still kept talking to me. Then we walked to the studio, and still never took them off. She took them off before we entered the studio because sunglasses are not allowed. I think she may as well might have worn her sunglasses inside the studio if they didn't require her to take them off.

Hey everyone just wanted some insight on something I’ve been debating with for a while. I’ve always like my middle name better than my first. My first is unique and hard to pronounce for those that don’t speak Spanish. My middle name (Sofia) is one that is easy to pronounce for both spanish+ english speakers. My question is: Is it strange to start going by middle name as an adult? I’m in my mid 20’s . I kinda started using it when I was 18, but it hasn’t really “stuck”. Just a couple of new friends call me by middle name. Should I keep trying to use the name that I like better (middle) or just give up and go by my first name? I wouldn’t make those that know me by first call me a new name, just with new people that I meet.

Hello, everyone. I work at a shipping company where I load trailers all evening. Recently, I noticed a new driver (i.e., different team, and not a direct co-worker of mine, so I don't think we'll ever meet) who parks right next to the entrance (nothing wrong with that, he has a handicapped decal and all), but the thing is, he parks in reverse, so every time I exit to go home, I have to look at a big fat middle-finger sticker in his rear windshield (and a text that says, "Back off!"). I find that EXTREMELY offensive and not to mention immature. Why does he feel the need to give the middle finger to the entire world? So I decided he needs revenge. I tried punching the glass in hopes of doing some damage, but as you may know, windshield glass is extra thick (that's for the better - breaking glass with a bare fist would result in a bloody injury on my part, maybe even a trip to the ER). So, instead, I took my fist and banged on the body of his car, creating a small- to medium-sized dent. And to me, that's "even." He DESERVES to have that dent in what looks like a new-model car. No reason to have such an obnoxious, obscene, and immature sticker! Having said that, do you think I overreacted? What would you have done if you found such a sticker offensive?

  • Is it rude when someone replies like this?

Best answer: Should we also say someone is being rude when they say "sorry for your loss"? It sounds to me like they are being kind, not rude. They may not be sincere, but they are being polite.
