I've been working in Sainsbury's for around 6 weeks. I work in the cafe. My colleagues describe me as 'cheeky' and 'rude' because I ask them for help when I need it. My team leader has been so rude, shouting at me in front of customers and the other day she pushed me to the side and opened the till, and give this customer a refund because apparently the service I give was crap. I've tried to be friendly and nice to customers but apparently it's not good enough. Unless you offer to wipe their *** it's basically not good enough. She then lectured me and told me she's had to deal with so many complaints all because I've began. She then began to bring up that a customer was screaming in her face and it was my fault despite me not even working that day. She then went on that apparently I ask for too much overtime despite her offering it to me then goes on to say about how they need more staff doing shifts. When she seen I was upset she came up behind me before she left and whispered 'I hope you come in tomorrow'. I then went to find other departments to do overtime then she told me 'I told you I needed more staff for overtime and you have to ask me before going to other departments!!!!' I tried to move department but they had no permanent jobs going so I couldn't do an inside move. I've complained about i but nothing has been done. What do I do?

  • How can a $550/month health insurance cover nothing? What's the point of insurance?

Trying to file on healthcare.gov, the insurance doesn't cover any medication, any doctors visit, any specialist, or any visit to the ER unless I rack up over $6,000 in bills during that time so I'm literally forced to give a large amount of money each month just so I can say my name is in there system?... show more

So last year in December, my ex-girlfriend and I signed a year long lease. Unfortunately, things did not work out and a few months ago, we mutually decided not to renew the lease together. She expressed desire in renewing the lease by herself or asking the landlord to add someone else but obviously, it was none of my concern since I already decided I was not going to be residing there anymore. She eventually settled on a roommate who wouldn’t be able to move in until January (leaving her to pay December’s rent on her own. Assuming that she would handle speaking to the landlord about renewing the lease, I made accommodations to move out by December 5th. Today, she informed me that she contacted the landlord and he has stated that I have to pay December’s rent because “all tenants have to pay last months rent”. But if the lease ends exactly on December 5th.. doesn’t that mean I paid the last months rent in January? Is he penalizing me for not giving him 30 day notice that we both wouldn’t be renewing the lease?

  • I hate my roommate, but we're stuck in a lease together, any chance I can persuade my landlord to let me move out?

She moved in with me after I was already living here for several months) She tries to push my buttons at every turn, runs the place like it's hers, is extremely rude to me, and even admitted the only reason she moved in, was so that she could wait till I move out, and then her friend could move in. I've had it with her, and either she goes, or I go, but do you think I could ask my landlord to either help me with getting her out of the lease, and asking her to leave, or getting me out of the lease, so at least I can move out

I have never told on a coworker before. I'm normally very chill and have always minded my own business. So I work in a movie theater and we were doing floor duties, such as checking tickets, cleaning the auditorium, and sweeping around. This person we work with hardly does anything and takes forever. Let's give him a random name so his name is Joe. So we were cleaning one of the auditorium and saw a spilled drink. I asked Joe to get the mop while me and this other coworker clean up. It's been ten minutes and he barely came back with the mop. Also when we are cleaning, Joe is just standing still swinging the broom trying to look like he is working. I've caught him sitting on the chairs texting every now and then and had to remind him we have to finish fast because we are behind schedule. We also had to take the trash and Joe said he would do it. One of the managers came back and asked why it's still there so I ended up having to run back and forth throwing some out because he didn't do any. Yesterday I wasn't scheduled to work. I watched Coco with a friend. Came back to see her after it was over and had a little chat with my coworker while she was cleaning up. Our managers are fine with us talking as long as we are doing our work. I asked where Joe was and she told me he left already without staying to clean up as everyone should be. I normally do not like snitching but I am wondering if this is the case where I should tell the managers.

Another person ( "Gary" ) offered me a chance to be the cashier for the company he works for . He said I'd be in charge of sending his colleagues their paycheck . His boss sends me a check, I keep $ 200.00, and I send the rest to another person . I've heard of situations like these, and I don't think they ever end well, so I'm suspicious . If Gary sends me a check, it can bounce and I'd owe my bank a lot of money . If Laura had the information she asked for, could she take money out of my bank account as well as put it in ? Is this a con game ? Is this ever a good deal ? Thank you in advance for your answers .

I grew up going to the family lakehouse for 1 month and want to continue doing that *especially* when I have kids of my own. If I ask for a month off every summer, will I get in trouble? Will I have to go back to uni and become a teacher if I want summers off?
