  • How soon can I wear foundation after face waxing?

I had my face waxed earlier today. In the past I’ve had this done and when I put on foundation you can see where I’ve waxed as the skin is so smooth it looks awful :/ How long should you wait before wearing makeup and it blends better?

Which look should I go for?

Best answer: Depends on where you're going. I like the one on the top right for more causal style.
Bottom left if it's more formal.

Best answer: Nude. When I was growing up, red was for 'old ladies,' and I still stick with that opinion.

I want to buy a nude lipstick, but I don't know what shade would be good for me. I am a combination of warm and cool undertone. I read multiple websites that claim that the best shade of nude lipstick should match your nipples. I find that hard to believe, because I have friends who have wear nude lipsticks that look great on them and very natural, and I asked them and said that they don't match it with their nipple colour. I'm light skinned and my nipple is brown. I don't want to wear brown lipstick haha. Any tips that could help?

  • Beginner at makeup. Should I invest in an expensive palette or should I buy a cheaper dupe?

But I'd like to improve my skills and buy an eyeshadow palette. I don't know if it's best to start with an expensive, high quality one (Naked, maybe) or with a cheap dupe (Make-Up Revolution). I mean, what if I'm going to suck at using the Naked palette and end up having wasted my money? What if the dupe is such low quality that I will never manage to learn how to put make-up on?

  • Why do people overline their lips?

I mean I know the obvious answer. It's to make your lips more full looking right? Because I think it's alright to overline them a little if your lips are uneven or something. But the other day I was at Sephora and I asked a worker if she could do my lips. My bottom lip is full but my top lip is thinner. She traced over my top lip snd when I saw the final result, I thought I looked horrible! I thanked her and subtly removed it after she left, then asked a different worker to do it. She was happy to, and followed my natural lip shape. The final result looked MUCH better in my opinion. Why are people so obsessed with having full lips, or giving the illusion of them? I personally found it rude that the first woman overlined my lips.

But I wanna touch up some areas during my daily routine before going out, the deal is that I'm too shy/don't know enough about makeup to ask the proper questions at Ulta or MAC. OR the employees just glance over me lol. What are some of the key questions to ask when I'm curious about matching my skin to the correct concealer? How can I approach an employee without being too awkward? PS: I don't need an answer saying "men don't wear or need makeup". I'll ignore that answer. The only thing makeup doesn't belong on is animals, thanks!

I am just wondering also, what type of skincare routine you follow. The reason I ask is because it could be something as simple as a change in facial cleanser, to reduce dryness.
