• I see a lot of people who chain up their dog up on a chain for their whole life. Is this legal?

I recently got an emotional support dog and I couldn't be happier. The dog is a pitbull terrier and he's very calm and well behaved. I'm trying to live with my father so I can go to college near his house but he's telling me that the townhouses can deny my dog because it has a no dog policy and that I won't be on the lease until May 2019. Is this something I should be concerned or worried about? ( I have a letter from a psychiatrist stating that I can have one emotional support dog.)

I adopted her 2 1/2 years ago when she was 5 months old. Shes always been a chewer. I use to live by myself were I was more lenient with her chewing on innapropiot things, but I moved into a house with my brother. We both own it. Shes been chewing things up. Mostly my brothers things, and he refuses to cater to her behavior by picking his stuff up he doesnt want chewed. He told me today that if she doesnt stop chewing things up, than shes going to have to stay outside when we are gone, which I think is cruel. I feel like I've done just about everything to stop her chewing. I take her on 2 half hour walks a day and sometimes play fetch. It's hard to always make time for the. Because I work full time. Whe ever she starts chewing on something she not suppose to i say no! Than give her, her toy to chew on, but shes not getting it. I've also been doing this for almost a year. If it were completely up to me, I would give her as many chances as she needs, so long as I didnt have to keep her outside but my brother is fed up. It's just so stressful. I was thinking of finding someone to re home her. I would of course get to know them, and make sure they are the right person first. Am I a bad person for re homing my dog for this reason?

  • Is leaving dogs outside in freezing temperatures wrong?

Best answer: Yes. They should be let back in when they want inside. My 8 year old German Shepherd likes to spend an hour or so outside playing in the snow -- or more if my kids are there. But he certainly would NOT be OK spending the whole night outside.

  • Best age to buy a puppy for kids? Or easiest time to buy?

Best answer: It really depends on how much work you want to put into it. Ultimately, this will be your dog and your responsibility because kids are not always reliable. Best answer: It really depends on how much work you want to put into it. Ultimately, this will be your dog and your responsibility because kids are not always reliable. At younger ages they can help with small things but are not reliable to fully take care. Growing up at a young age with a dog is a really nice memory, though. At older ages (think 10-13) they can help by walking and feeding the dog, taking it out to do its business, etc. and can take some time to actually learn the responsibility of a dog. Puppies need a LOT of attention, so with kids in school you’ll need to be the optimal leader and owner of the dog. It’s your decision, and these are just some factors in it. Whatever you decide, good luck!

  • Can I feed the dog the same meal as the family on Thanksgiving?

We're having roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, Pillsbury Grands flaky biscuits, and some Jell-O. I also want to give some of each to the dog. He's a golden-doodle, so I think he's big enough to handle it all.

My two month old puppy is not eating well. Dont get me wrong, its not like shes not hungry, she wants to eat but it seems like she cant chew or suddenly doesnt want anymore? Shes really really small also, about the size of a hand. We got her some baby dog milk formula, and we have been trying to feed her that for about a week now. She does eat but its a too little amount. We got her baby dog food and moistened it in water so its easy to chew, but still she eats too little! Shes been having this muscle spasms in the morning too! I cant really afford to see a vet right now, is there anything i can do? We feed her every 2-3 hours. Shes really thin and has ongoing diarrhea. Im really worried. She already got treated for parasites so im not sure that could be the cause?

  • How can I preserve a very large bag of dry dog food so it doesn't go to waste?

Would storing it in the freezer be of help? She's a smaller dog so it'll take her a bit longer to finish off this bag. I purchased it out of excitement over seeing they now stocked these larger bags of her food. Stupid I know, but it happened and there's no going back now.

Keep him on what he was eating until he has completely adjusted to being away from litter mates & mama, it is a hard adjustment. traumatic. alone for the first time in his life. no one to snuggle up to, no sound of beating hearts, different smells, sounds & different sights, you are new to him. he is alone. Let him get through this & then change what you are feeding.

I suggest you go with dog food & not raw. At least until you have done more research on feeding raw.
