  • What percentage of the urine samples does the army actually test?

In most months, units will test 10% each month or they could test 20% every other month. There may be a couple months that are skipped. This is a way to perform tests equal to 100% of the personnel over the time of a year without the excessive time and expense of doing a 100% test every month.

If there is suspicion, a Commander can order a drug test at any time. If a Commander suspects a problem in a unit, he can request a higher percentage be tested. He could even request a 100% test. However, he may have to defend the cost to his Commander if it becomes an issue.

Many Soldiers get married too young to someone that can't support themselves. They end up living on the edge off base. It is tougher with a spouse because of trying to find a job.

With you, you will be able to get a decent paying job anywhere you go. That means your husband's pay won't have to support you both. You will find out you can actually live pretty well.

Advice? Wait until you finish nursing school to get married. He should try to save money while waiting for you to graduate. Once that happens, he will have had a couple promotions, have money in the bank, and the two of you will be set.

The military is suppose to be a last resort, no other option. NOT an enforcer of political policy and agendas.

  • What is the latest age to join the marines or army, how about reserves, and do you go to boot camp for 3 months and stay there?

I want to join but am not sure if I can go 3 months without a beer. I like war movies, survival stuff, guns, my country, and think I'd be very good at basic training and shooting.

  • In your opinon, whats the safest branch of the military?

I'm a senior in hs right now, and I'm planning on joining the military, but my family doesn't want me to because the first thing they think about is a war starting while Im in, then I get killed. Plus they don't think I should join while Trump is still President.

At 21 now I’m joining the navy and my recruiter tells me I can roll the dice and not put it in the self admittal but when the FBI does a background check on me if something comes up I’ll get kicked out or I could be on the safe side and put it on the form but then I’d be disqualified from Corpsman, the job I want. I put it in the form but now I feel like I may have screwed myself..

He was present in the fall of Saigon and also recalls hearing about the Bay of Pigs invasion on tv when he was a kid. And so I asked myself, when was the last time America had a great military victory? The Navy Seal team 6 victory over Osama was ok, it wasnt as epic as one would imagine. Why did we stop having men like Eisenhower and Patton? Men who led our forces into victory? Britain has been falling much faster than we are, so much so that even the French did better than them in the Gaddafian war. But as far as America goes, what would you say was our last greatest victory in this recent period?

He said decent grades, no tats, no criminal history and no dope smoking is a great sign. But then, the conversation turned odd. He said we don't enlist guys named Tom (my name is Tom). The phone disconnected, but I am not sure if that is because he was on a cell (it was already choppy) or if he actually meant it. I called back but could not connect. Is Tom some kind of taboo name in the army now?!!
