My cold sores appear on my cheek, so not the typical lip cold sore. This is the 3rd time I’ve gotten them, this time it was due to a bad sunburn the day before they appeared. I got the first signs of a cold sore 8 days ago (tingling and itching). I started applying Abreva the next day and have been using it now for 7 days, 4-5 times a day. It began to blister and now it has become dark colored and hard, almost like its scabbing up. Is it okay for it not to have popped or oozed after a week of having it? I know Abreva is suppose to speed up recovery but has it slowed it down? Just a little worried as to why it hasn’t progressed much since it started. Thank you for any advice or information.

Should I go see a doctor about these burns?

  • *warning graphic description* weird pimple on my vagina?

so a few days ago after i shaved i found a pimple type thing kinda above the clit. I thought it was nothing. What could have caused this?

I got poison ivy about a week ago, though I barely had any symptoms. Starting three days ago I got a small yellow blister that keeps growing and growing. Now it is about two inches long, one inch wide, and half of an inch higher than the rest of my skin. It is sort of clear, but yellow tinted; the skin around it red and swallow, with new tiny blisters continuously forming around it. I also have about 20 total bumps that looked like hives on my arms/legs, but in the last hour have all turned into tiny (though growing) yellow blisters. I have been using apple cider vinegar and jewel weed, and have not been scratching. Only the large blister hurts badly. Is it worth it to go to the doctor? If so, what will he/she do?

  • I just want clear ******* skin!!!?

Best answer: Hey there! I believe treatment is required. The best advice I can offer is to go see a dermatologist without delay. Depending on the severity of your acne, they’d be in a better position to suggest appropriate medication for your condition.

Best answer: The fact that you break out when your menstrual cycle is near, means that it's hormonal acne, therefor treatments like the ones you stated will not help. Hormonal acne is often cleared with birth control. The birth control pills that are most successful in clearing a person's skin is Yaz, Zoely, Qlaira etc. These pills might be too strong as it's prescribed for women with menstrual problems. A lighter pill such as Trigestrel is bound to work as lighter dosis of birth control is as effective in clearing skin as stronger acne treatments. You could also go on roaccutane, which is the best and strongest anti-acne pill on the market but this choice requires you to spend a great amount of money and also accept the side effects such as back pain, really dry skin that can cause development of eczema, small chance of liver damage, future disabilities of your unborn child. Going on roaccutane will require you to drink two types of bc anyway because the harm it can cause to a baby is fatal.
