My gambling addiction has become more than out of control now. I am 18 years old and have been gambling since 14. Only these past 2 weeks have really hit me. Yes, I have taken big losses in the past, such as 2,3 sometimes £400 but this was before I was working - money I used from making profit from buying and selling on eBay. Last year November I started working and been earning on average £800 a month. Was gambling a bit, but not to a level where it was killing me. These past few months, I have been on a massive winning streak. I won £1650 from a £50 football bet, and maybe 6-7 more accumulators worth over £200 each which is quite a lot considering my age. Last month, I gambled all my wages. I was on my last £50 on roulette (roulette is the biggest problem - I only gamble on roulette & football). So my last £50 resulted in me winning a grand. Everything back plus a little extra - I was over the moon of course. I didn't even feel to gamble again - yes I was doing little bets here and there but the warning and shock of me being so close to nothing put me off. Now, I've sold my first car for about £1,500 profit. My wages of £1,000 (including rare overtime I done this past month) have come through. I've sold lots of bits on eBay amounting to around £500. It started with £20 try your luck thing (the minute my wages came to my bank at 12am). Then spiralled out of control, majorly. That was the wages gone. CONTINUED

  • Where does all lottery money go anyways??

Best answer: It goes to the state. They use it to pay the winners, and they "use" the rest for state business.

  • In poker, should you still 3Bet AKo against opponents who have a loose range, but hate to fold on the flop?

Best answer: Yes. Just because he calls too many 3bets (I presume?) and flop bets doesn't mean you should only 3bet with pairs. AKo beats his calling range (even if he's not calling loosely) and dominates some of his hands, but also, it adds some balance to your ranges. Best answer: Yes. Just because he calls too many 3bets (I presume?) and flop bets doesn't mean you should only 3bet with pairs. AKo beats his calling range (even if he's not calling loosely) and dominates some of his hands, but also, it adds some balance to your ranges. You can make some adjustments to this villain, but don't disrespect him *too* much by getting too off balance.

When you miss, don't always cbet flop and check-fold turn (otherwise you're giving him a good reason to hate folding the flop). Make some double-barrels and check-raises. On the flop you can even check-call with AKo on a ten high board. He's not likely to have hit either.

I haven't given specifics, so there is much for you to figure out on your own, but my general advice (keep 3-betting AKo) is good IF you form a good postflop plan based on your 3bet range (which should be about 4.5% of hands from the SB when facing a raise from the HJ).

Your questions are getting drastically better, btw.

  • Can you play poker online for money?

Best answer: If you're in the US, the sites I know of are Global Poker*, Ignition, and Carbon.

*Global is actually legal thanks to a "sweepstakes" loophole, and you can deposit/withdraw via PayPal.

Most casinos with poker rooms have cash games, where a player can sit down at an empty seat and buy in at any time, and likewise pick up his chips and leave at any time. Lets say novice poker player Bob takes an open seat at a cash game table that has 8 to 10 players, including him. But he doesnt join at any time. He watches from a distance and joins between hands right when the dealer button comes to him. So the blinds are posted by the two players to the left of him, and he doesnt have to post a blind for 5 to 7 hands. Bob can now fold any poor hands, and only bet on any really good hands he is dealt, if any. This allows him to more or less play 5 to 7 hands for free. Then he takes up his chips and bounces after the last hand before the blinds come back around to him. Now, many times he'll have folded every hand and leave with no gains or losses. But by only pkaying good hands he feels confident in, then of all the times where there IS a change in his chip stack, it will be for the better more often than for the worse, right? Would long term profit be a distinct possibility?

I've been really feeling down lately. I'm only a 16 year old but I've been betting on these csgo gambling sites. Csgo is a game where you can have skins that are worth real money. I started betting over a year and a half ago, and soon I got addicted. I used to do small bets but then it turned to losing all my money I managed to get to gamble. I would continuously spend all my money on it within a day over and over. I've lost all my money again I'm really sad. I have depression and gambling is the only thing that makes me feel happy for a short amount of time until I eventually lose and go back to feeling terrible. But I feel like I can't stop doing it. It's on my mind constantly and I can't stop thinking that I want to win money and try to win back what I lost. It got to the point where when I was in school I would skip sometimes just to gamble in the day, and at one point after losing I started physically hurting myself. I'm feel really down and guilty about betting because I lied to my mom telling her I wouldn't do it again. It seems like whatever I do I just go back to it.
