  • Is it true that modern cars are easier to fix than older cars?

I thought modern cars are more complex and they are full of electronic things but my friends said they come with modular things so they are easier to fix since you can just replace the whole module instead of fixing very little things. Is it true?

  • Leaving wiper blades up just before a snow storm?

Best answer: We live in an area that gets a lot of freezing rain during the winter. Sometimes the wiper blades will get covered with ice and stuck down to the windshield. If you lift the blades up, they won't get stuck and it's easier to get ready to go. As an alternative, If the car is going to be outside all... show more

As an alternative, If the car is going to be outside all night, I also have a piece of heavy vinyl tarp that I can lay out over the windshield so when I come out in the morning, all I have to do is pull the tarp off, and I have a clean windshield!

I got my car in 9/2014. (07 Accord 4cyl) I replaced the battery in 2/2015. It tested bad. So there was a 3 year warranty on it. 10/2017 It hesitated to crank a lil so I got it tested and it tested bad. Still under warranty, I got another one. I had an audio system hooked up to it. I took the fuse out of it because I thought that could have been the problem. Now 12/13/2017 it hesitated to crank and I took it to auto zone to get my battery tested once again. It tested bad. I had them to check my charge system and they showed me that everything passed except the battery. On today 12/15/2017 it hesitated to crank again. This time I took it to a different auto zone. The battery tested bad AGAIN! I have nothing extra plugged to my battery, I took the fuse out of my wire that goes to the battery from my amp and subwoofers. So that doesn’t even power on at all without the fuse. So what is draining my battery??? Or am I just really getting defective batteries?? I leave nothing on in the car. I don’t even use my overhead lights. No engine lights or maintenance lights appear when I crank the car. What’s going on??

My car and the other two are black, but mine is almost completely clean whereas the other two are covered in white snow stains, and I didn't get a wash or anything. Could it be different types of paint or something? If it matters, the cars that are dirty are a 2016 Panamera, a 2012 Sonata; my car is a 2013 C350

so, everywhere on the internet, people says to connect the positive terminal first, because then the battery can't short if you touch the negative terminal with a wrench to other metal on the car. I was always taught to connect the ground (negative) first, because the ground is the "safety line", as the positive being connected without the ground being connected as well is essentially a bomb waiting to go off. I was taught this from my father who learned it from his. If the only reason to connect positive first is because youre scared of dropping the wrench, what the fluck? can someone explain? because based on what i'm taught, everyone is making burgers with raw beef cuz theyre afraid of burning their hand on the stove.
