Best answer: "Do you believe laws that discriminate against males are justified?"

Absolutely NOT. It is very telling to see feminists here justifying the use of LEGAL DISCRIMINATION against all men as a cure for some type of SOCIAL BIAS, or as one put it , "favouritism"; both of those being perceived and not necessarily even true to begin with.

Nevertheless, these feminists seem to not understand that legal discrimination are the types of laws that were used to tell Blacks they had to sit at the back of the bus, just because they are Blacks, and some people "perceived" that they were troublemakers. For some reason, feminists don't care when this same type of systemic discrimination is imposed onto men, just because they are men. In fact, they are the chief proponents of these discriminatory laws today. This only shows their complete hypocrisy and lack of ethics.

The worst part of all of this, is that this is the REAL kind of discrimination that we have been working on over the last century to remove. Now we are just imposing it on men instead, thus promoting the cycle of discrimination another generation rather than breaking the loop. The fact that feminists are fine imposing legal sanctions on ALL MEN AS A GROUP for some types of perceived biases against some women, shows that their ideas about equality are way off the mark.

  • What do you think of the persistent women are afraid of guns myth in film?

Best answer: It sux. It's the well-off Hollywood snob's sexist-slanted take on "average people can't handle this specialist item," an attitude that informs their usual anti-weapons-rights political stance. And although to be fair, I HAVE seen that scene played with men, too, it IS WAY more common to present it that way with a female character.

And even the men who SUPPOSEDLY "know" how to handle a firearm make clear and obvious errors. WATCH the gunplay in the next flick you see, and notice these idiots pointing guns at FRIENDS with fingers ON the trigger, or RUNNING that way.

YOU KEEP YOUR FOREFINGER PARALLEL TO THE SLIDE. YOU DON'T EVEN PUT YOUR FINGER INSIDE THE TRIGGER GUARD, LET ALONE REST IT ON THE TRIGGER, UNLESS YOU ARE ABOUT TO FIRE. You DEFINITELY don't RUN that way.

And racking the slide TWICE? Or having a suppressor on a REVOLVER that's not a Mosin??? (and thinking a suppressor "silences" a firearm!)

Most weapons handling by "soldiers" and "police" in videos would get you thrown out of any military boot camp or police academy (or for that matter, any public firing range from Maine to Southern California). And besides WAY too much trigger, the writers, actors, and directors CLEARLY have no clue about muzzle discipline or what "watch your backstop" means.

And let's not even TALK about the Hollywood habit of presenting one embattled individual with a small-bore pistol as having an automatic "veto" over a whole roomful of people. Guns are not "magic."

Most video presentations of firearms are about as realistic as a science fiction movie where a spaceship is propelled by someone getting out to push.
