• A customer is demanding a w9 -- does this make sense?

I own a legally incorporated business in Pennsylvania and sell to restaurants. One of our customers is asking us to submit a w9 so that they can send us a 1099... Does this make sense? We're a company, not an independent contractor.

So I have been babysitting for this wealthier couple. She has two kids, 3 and 4. And her two dogs that I am also responsible for feeding and letting outside. When she hired me she said occasionally they do an overnight and she would pay me at least 150 in those cases...She has been paying me AT LEAST 10 dollars an hour if not more including when they are asleep...She asked me last week if I would be interest in an overnight. She said to arrive at 4pm, and It would be from then to “early in the morning next day” I accepted. . At the last minute she asked if I could also watch the kids another day during the week. She ended up being gone for 4 hours. She got home and told me her husband lost her wallet and will pay me sunday...Saturday they left at 4:10, and Got home at 12pm sunday..and she was supposed to be home at 8... I didn’t care becUse at this point I believed I was being compensated..she paid me 160 for both days total!!!! This is definately not what we had agreed on, as she had said at least 150 for overnights...i was there 4 hours longer than what I was supposed to be, and she did not pay me for that. She said the 160 was including the weekday. So by that logic she paid me 10 dollar for that weekday? I didn’t know what to do and I felt like it would be rude to ask for more...I thought I was getting about 240....and she wayyyy underpaid me...I feel insulted but not sure what to do or how to talk to her about this. Please give me advice. Thank you

In short, I am wondering about starting a campaign on change.com or change.or or whatever it s called, wondering if I can either save the building from damage, or maybe get them ousted as well. I would like a yes or no answer if possible.

  • Are there any alternative mail pick-up/delivery services for small business?

Best answer: Maybe there's a strictly local (no-frills) courier service within range of your office and the post office who would be glad for the work. Otherwise, there must be someone in your locality who would be happy for a vigorous part-time job, outdoors, in all weather.

  • Are the pins in the brandy Melville store counter free for customers?

In USA the stickers at the counter are free. A container of unmarked pins were at the counter in the London store and I assumed they were free so I took a few. Yeah, a half million a year ought to do it. lol When I started my business, I did not take a dime out for about a year because I reinvested my profits and the business needed the capital. Once all that is in place, you can start listing and selling. It isn't hard, but there is a learning curve.

If you do over, I think, $22,000 sales in a year, you'll get a 1099 to report your earning to the IRS. Don't ignore it. I had to pay almost $240,000 in back taxes for ignoring the 1099 the first year they started sending them out. My accountant told me you can't move $2m+ through your PayPal account without the IRS noticing. I am incorporated now.
