I said not in this life (My walls were up uh up) You watched me walking away to my wasted friends After saying I'm too messed up to be messed with The sky goes grey and the clouds come home My walls are ruined and the air is cold Are those eyes of a human or Of a storm? Are those eyes of a human or Of a storm? I should have known…

  • Do you think rap should be banned?

The stupid genre is all about money, sex, drugs etc. It's making a lot of people stupid and most rappers have low IQs. It's irritating and lame. Better it got banned for good.

Best answer: I find Kidddas's answer intriquing.

Woody didn't write most of the music to his songs. He often used the tune from a Carter family song.

And the song posted above, Ring Of Fire, was written by June Carter and first recorded by her sister Anita, so Johnny's hit version wasn't a "Johnny Cash song", it was a cover.

Johnny's got a great voice. It shows on the many Woody songs that he sang.

I would have to say that Woody's songs were better. On the basis that more people perform Woody's songs than perform Johnny's.

(Side note, lots of Woody's songs were never recorded, just lyrics written down on scraps of paper and nobody remembers what the tune was. So the family has all these Woody lyrics, but no melodies. So what they are doing is giving these lyrics to trusted musicians with the instruction to write a melody for these lost Woody Guthrie lyrics.)

I've been to numerous concerts of famous pianists including those who have performed at Carnegie Hall. I am able to play their pieces. (I play Classical, btw). I was just wondering if my piano playing could get me anywhere. Seeing all of these famous pianists play songs that I can play just makes me wonder.
