Best answer: As a fan of the genre and not the negative messages i think I can help. Try to discuss the meanings of lyrics and show her that its more than just some swearing and its not positive and that robbery and violent crimes actually happen. It also won't hurt to show her those drug statistics, some youth sometimes view it as fun to listen to because its like watching an action or crime movie but it takes some understanding to realize the lyrics are not fiction to our society. Also she likes it because she most likely likes the sound, so making her like another genre likely wont work try artists like "NF" or "Lacrae" who tend to have cleaner lyricism and have a much more positive message. Good luck.

  • Am I the only one who hates Gods Plan by Drake?

Best answer: No, it's very annoying and boring. It shouldn't really be considered hip hop anyway.

  • Can an Asian become a hip hop artist in America?

I was watching videos online and I was just wondering what you guys think of an asian entering the hip hop scene in America. I haven t seen an asian hit it big yet and I m wondering if it s because of the race/cultural difference or if it s because of no one ever really not getting the chance yet.

It seems like she has talent although I don't know how much is done for her as a pretty face and body but her flow is good and the people who make beats for her are awesome!

Check out her song Mama Don't Worry video and lyrics reminiscent of Eminem talking about his struggles when he was actually poor.

I will give her that her flow is definitely good.

She said she brings in the words and ideas and a team of writers help her refine it. Ronny makes her beats and most of them are lit although not that Gucci Flip Flop song that one is eh the others are lit.

  • Why do some people think you have to be from the hood to be a rapper ?

Why do people think this ? I feel this is why people make fun of rappers like drake because he isn't from the hood and they call him soft because of it.

So when I do start posting music I think I will look like a bandwagon person, people might think that I am one of many people who just recently start rapping because it’s popular. I been rapping but I never been to a studio and never posted anything so when I do get my music out there it will look like I just started rapping as opposed to I been doing it 9 years and I didn’t just jump on a trend like many other young people. I will feel uncomfortable with people thinking I am a bandwagon person who recently start rapping to follow the trend. Do you think this is a small issue? Should I worry about people not knowing that I been rapping?

  • If we overpaid teachers and underpaid rappers would we then have smart kids and good rap music?

Best answer: No, because that's not how the market works. Teachers are salaried employees -- they are expected to work a certain amount of time, and in return they get a set amount of money. Musicians of any variety are essentially manufacturers -- they produce a product, and they make money based on how many copies of it they sell. Teachers will get a paycheck as long as they're doing their job -- a bad rapper could be "doing their job" for years before they even see a penny. Assuming everyone just stopped buying rap music, thereby decreasing their profits, the people behind it would declare it a dead or dying market and move over to some other sort of product to produce. In essence, rap is affected by supply and demand -- teachers aren't.
