I got a great deal on some tires that are virtually new, but I won't have a need for them before next summer, most likely. Should I seal them up in garbage bags or will keeping them in the cellar where it's cool and dark be OK for a year or so?13 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs6 days ago
It seems like one of those Medicare ripoffs, like the "free scooters" several years ago. Is there some "on-demand" cancer test like they suggest?1 AnswerCancer7 days ago
I see Joe Namath on TV all the time pitching this business. Are they a broker for Medicare Advantage plans who make a commission when you sign up for one? They don't seem to be an actual insurance provider at all.11 AnswersInsurance1 week ago
Basically, it drips [through the dining room ceiling] when my wife showers and does not when I do.
I have tried showering first, then she does - drip.
I shower second - doesn't drip for either.
Check bathroom when dripping - no puddles on floor around tub.
Seal between tub and wall tiles seems good, not pulling away anywhere.
The valve is a one-handle one and we both use about the same temperature.
I don't want to tear the wall apart looking for this, but it seems like the ceiling will cave in eventually if I don't
Anyone have a brilliant idea what I might check?8 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs2 weeks ago
All of these "do you think I look good" questions have a photo taken looking at a mirror. All cellphones have a camera on the back so you can see yourself on the screen while you take the shot. Why don't people use it? Is it for the flash?10 AnswersCameras2 weeks ago
I see these videos of kids with souped-up cars doing donuts and drag racing. I would like to watch but I don't know how to get hooked into the right kind of social network to learn where it's happening. How do I do it?2 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation2 weeks ago
I understand that it's officially pronounced - Ne-VA-da and not Ne-vah-da, as Spanish speakers would pronounce its Spanish name.3 AnswersLanguages2 weeks ago
In the 50s and earlier, stamps were sometimes used as a substitute for small change. Offers by mail often asked people to send, e.g., 10 cents by stamps for some small product. What would they do when they had a pile of low-value stamps? Could they be exchanged for money at the post office? Would they just use the stamps eventually?10 AnswersHistory2 weeks ago
For instance, there was a riot and a reporter was beaten by a Hasidic crowd in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Because I know a little about Hasidim in NY, I know that the Bobovs dominate the area. When it's Williamsburg the Satmars are not mentioned. Crown Heights no mention of the Lubavitchers. Just "Orthodox Jews". Why?1 AnswerPolitics3 weeks ago
Is the idea to have the public do the investigating so they can use the evidence uncovered for a civil lawsuit against him for damages? His conviction, of course, would be proof he had done what they claimed and the former models would only have to prove their damages.Law & Ethics4 weeks ago
The other night I was watching Perry Mason and the captions kept including "XXXX" in the middle of words. I finally realized it was censoring "bad" words that it found in the middle of other words, like "CRXXXLY" for "crassly". How annoying. And this is for a show that was censored at the script level decades ago.1 AnswerOther - Television4 weeks ago
A reader that works with your cellphone costs all of $15. Why don't they just install the darn things to begin with?17 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 month ago

If the outside air is the same temp as the condenser, the system can't work. Maybe liquid sodium air-conditioners will be needed in places like the Persian Gulf states.2 AnswersEngineering2 months ago
