  • File not found error in Windows XP?

    Hi there,

I recently copied, or actually cut videos and movies from my Windows 7 laptop onto my external harddrive, but when I try and play the videos through my other laptop (windows XP, media player classic) it gives an error: file not found - I've tried different media players, but it hasn't worked. Some of the videos (the ones that were in folders) will play through the windows 7 laptop, but I get the same error for the videos that were not in folders.

    Please help, as I've said - I cut them - not copied...idiot.

I've gone through the HORRIBLE and time consuming process of adding a picture signature to my windows live mail...finally got it right, but now I have to resize the image every time I send an e-mail, even though I have the height and width sizes in the HTML file...It's really annoying - please help!

  • Insect Identification?

Could someone please help me identify these insects? I especially want to know what the blue one is...I've looked all over the internet and cannot find it. There are also black ones that look exactly the same and they give off a strong smell when disturbed. What I really want to know is if they are bad or beneficial bugs for my garden...I've examined them closely and haven't seen them doing any damage, but I want to be sure!

Oh yes, I live in South Africa, Eastern Cape and I find these bugs mostly on my gooseberries, granadillas & carrots...but they get all over.

    Thanks!

  • Should you tow a car in gear or neutral?

My car had to be towed the other day (Toyota Tazz) because of a flat battery. The guy who towed me said to put it in 3rd gear...I thought it should be neutral, but listened to him as he tows a lot of cars...now my cambelt is broken and the car won't start...could it be because of the towing or is it just bad luck?

    Thanks!

  • What type of computer virus causes these symptoms?

Every now and again my computer makes the "ding" noise repeatedly for about a minute and other times it's as if the keyboard gets stuck and it makes a whole load of q's by its self...quite annoying. I did a virus scan with the latest NOD 32 and it removed 4 infected files, but it's still doing these weird things. Could it be a virus or maybe something else? I'm running windows 7 starter on an Acer Aspire 7250 laptop. Thanks!

  • What do the leaves of a pennywort plant supposed to taste like?

I have a plant and I am eating the leaves for health benefits, but they taste terrible and bitter. I have read that it tastes like spinach, asparagus and sugar, but I'm not tasting it at all. Could it be that the plant suffered before I got it and made it bitter? If it is that could it become better with some care?

  • Which pansy is it that has nutritional value?

I know all pansies are edible, but due to cultivating for different colours etc. the nutritional value of the pansy has been lost. I read somewhere that only the original pansy (which is purple, white and yellow) is the only one that still has nutritional value, but I'm struggling to get the cultivar name so I can buy the plants or seeds.

If anyone can help in any way it would be much appreciated!

  • Name for a farm-style restaurant?

We are opening a restaurant in a new development which is a farm village, independent of the government, sustainable, own municipality, water, electricity etc. It's the first of it's kind in our country.

The restaurant is going to be a sustainable, natural, farm-style restaurant, using fresh products from our own garden and produce from local farmers.

    We're stuck on a name.

I've thought of Earth's Kitchen or Crossways (the development's name) Country Kitchen.

    Any help will be appreciated!

  • Contact lenses and massages?

Why do massage therapists always ask whether you are wearing contact lenses?

Would you have to remove them if you were?

    Thanks!

  • Strange cat and dog incident?

My 5-6 month old Jack Russel and 2 year old cat have been great friends since I brought my new pup home. They play constantly and love each other.

Last night my pup went into our room (which was dark) and started barking hysterically like I've never heard him before-like some one was murdering him. I ran in and turned on the light and there was my poor cat, hair standing on end, looking very confused.

I tried to calm puppy down, but he just went on freaking out so I took him out of the room and went to calm the cat.

After a while I took puppy to the cat and they were alright - puppy just sniffed cat and walked away with his ears back and tail down, looking very sorry for himself.

Puppy then continued to lie down on my lap with the same attitude of looking very down and uncertain for a long while. Later the cat also joined at my feet and they were fine with each other.

Then about an hour or 2 later I heard the same barking outside and it was directed an our cat again.

This morning when puppy and cat saw each other puppy would sniff him as if he wasn't sure who the cat was, not tackle him as usual.

Now, the afternoon they are playing again as if nothing happened.

This is very confusing to me. Why did this happen? Could the cat have smelled of something/one else and because it was dark puppy couldn't see it's the cat and only have smelled this something/one else?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

  • Which season should you sow succulent seeds?

I have Sceletium (Kanna) seeds that I want to sow, but I'm not sure when the best time will be to do that. I guess it should be spring as winter is their dormant period? I'll be growing outdoors in a pot.Our winters are quite cold, but no snow or frost except on the mountains...I live in South Africa if that makes a difference. Our winter is starting now.

    Thanks!
