• You do know that Creation and Evolution do not overlap, right?

Creation is the beginning of Life where, before Creation, there was no Life, anywhere. Evolution takes place when Life already exists. Do you see the distinction, there? Evolution does not mean Creation didn't happen. Evolution does not replace Creation. Evolution happens AFTER Creation. Having said that, I have always wondered why God could... show more

Evolution does not mean Creation didn't happen. Evolution does not replace Creation. Evolution happens AFTER Creation. Having said that, I have always wondered why God could not have created Life with the ability to adapt and evolve so as to have a greater chance of surviving for the greatest length of time. Doesn't that seem prudent? And, doesn't that seem within the realm of what God could think of bestowing upon His Creation?

  • Why do two of the "First Four" winners get 11 seeds in the Regionals?

I mean, if the two teams are good enough to be playing for the No. 11 seed, then why aren't they good enough to be seeded 11 and 12, to begin with? It seems to me that all four of the "First Four" games should be playing for the No. 16 seeds in the Regionals. What gives?

If the South Pole extends extends entirely around the edge of the Flat-Earth disk, how can the South Pole possibly be entirely illuminated for 6 straight months while the rest of the Flat-Earth disk still experiences night and day during a 24-hour period?

  • Do people really not realize that the Catholic Bible is the original, purest version of the Bible?

Books were removed from the Catholic Bible to create the Protestant Bible by a council of MEN. Protestants created a new God in THEIR (MAN'S) image. Isn't it Satan who tries to convince man that they are the equal or better than God?

  • If the Bible is the "word of God", then why are there two different versions of the Bible? The Catholic Bible and the Protestant Bible?

Don't the Catholics and the Protestants have the same God? Then why are there two different versions of "God's Word"?

"God of the Gaps" does not mean gaps in what God created. "God of the Gaps" means that Christians (and Jews and Muslims) use God to fill in the gaps in our scientific knowledge. Since we have not scientifically proven how the universe came into being, their explanation is "God did it". Before we knew that the orbits of the planets around the Sun and their relative positions to each other was what caused the apparent retrograde motion of planets in the sky, it was attributed to God because the explanation for retrograde motion was a gap in our scientific knowledge. Now we know why some planets in the sky appear to reverse direction, and that gap in our scientific knowledge has been closed, and God has disappeared as the explanation for retrograde motion of the planets. Before we knew that comets are, essentially, cosmic snowballs that orbit our Sun and their "tails" are simply gasses boiled off of their surface by the heat of the Sun and pushed away from the snowball by the solar wind, comets were attributed to God because the explanation for them was a gap in our scientific knowledge. Now we know why comets appear and why they have "tails", and that gap in our scientific knowledge has been closed, and God has disappeared as the explanation for comets. *THAT* is what "God of the Gaps" means.
